Colby is a refugee from many hostile writing lands. His
first professionally published writing was for Natural
Gas Focus but he realized there was no irony in eating
a microwave burrito and writing about natural gas. He
then moved on to Stitches Magazine, a mag for the
commercial embroidery industry but was repeatedly
referred to as a sew-and-sew.

Finally, realizing that writing about real stuff was for
suckers, Colby published his first short horror story,
“Use Yer Brains” in the Pill Hill Press Anthology How
the West Was Wicked. He published because his
friends made him do it.

When not writing fancy words, Colby is recording them
for Last Word Audio, his voiceover company that
specializes in audio books that are the pinnacle of
geek chic.

He is allergic to cats, horses and writing deadlines.

He writes mostly at night…mostly.

Colby lives in Denver.
